The Roller Beetle is a mount introduced with the Long Live the Lich release, an Episode 3 of Living World Season 4. It is the first new mount released since the launch of Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire. Roller beetle can accelerate to tremendous speeds with its Roll Out ability, making it the fastest land mount. After you obtain the saddle, Gorrik will suggest investigating a number of reality rifts to get used to flying with your skyscale, while at the same time assisting his research. You will have to travel to 27 maps and close one rift on each. After completing this collection you will unlock your Skyscale. 2-Star mount speed is nice to have while gathering repetitively from nearby nodes. The nodes are too far away to run, but not far enough away to fly. So you repetitively mount, 2-Star-run, dismount, harvest. This is less tedious than mount, lift off, fly, land, dismount, harvest. Especially so if you’re using a mouse and keyboard. Skyscale is a mount released with the Episode 6 of Living World Season 4, War Eternal. It is the third new mount added to the game since the release of Path of Fire. During the Glory of Dragons story step, your character unlocks the ability to borrow single-use skyscales at Skyscale Roosts across Dragonfall. Citadel Assault Glider. Classical Glider.
